My Purpose refers to the meaning and purpose of your own life or the purpose of your work, such as the kind of person you are, what happiness means to you, or what you want to accomplish in your life. When asking employees to think about their purpose, the Sompo Group recommends they start by looking back on their own life and career from the three perspectives of WANT (intrinsic motivation), MUST (Social responsibility) and CAN (ability), to find areas that overlap and then consider their purpose.
We believe that in order to achieve SOMPO's Purpose, we need to create our culture that each and every group employee has their My Purpose, thinks carefully about what part of SOMPO's Purpose resonates with their My Purpose, and practices an autonomous work style.
